Originally dairy farmers from the Waikato, Mike and Sue Visser bought Foxhill farm eight years ago to diversify into hop growing. A farm with history and heritage, but a new journey of discovery for Mike and Sue. Watch this short video for a glimpse into life at Foxhill.

Plant & Food Research scientist Dr Ron Beatson was awarded the prestigious Morton Coutts Trophy at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand 2021 New Zealand Beer Awards in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the New Zealand hops industry. Dr Beatson has led the research and development of hop breeding and genetics for 38 years at Plant & Food Research. Colin was awarded the prestigious Order of the Hop award for Excellence in Growing Organics in NZ and in this video he explains the two reasons why New Zealand can grow the world's finest organic hops.
